Hofmann New Director of Production at CCH - Congress Center Hamburg

Hartmut Hofmann (54) has assumed the role as Director of CCH production, a new department at the CCH – Congress Center Hamburg. In this position he will be reporting to the new CCH Chief Operating Officer, Heike Mahmoud, and act as her deputy from 1 March 2018.
 
“Hartmut Hofmann is a highly experienced event management professional who will be celebrating his 25-year anniversary at Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH (HMC) in March. Over the course of these years he has overseen more than 5,000 events,” said Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH.
 
The newly-created production unit covers both, the commercial and organizational responsibilities associated with project management, and the related technical aspects. In addition, his department is in charge of interdisciplinary activities, primarily acting as an interface between HMC and the owners of the CCH, with responsibility for logistics and non-technical services between events.
 
A professional energy system electronics expert, Hofmann studied Media Operations Engineering before joining the CCH team in 1994 as Head of Imaging and Acoustics Services. He has held a number of other positions since.
 
Holding the German equivalent of a Master’s degree in Engineering as well as a stage lighting diploma, Hartmut Hofmann is also an instructor at various educational institutes, including Fresenius Hochschule.
